Poteet Architects has designed a Container Guest House is located in San Antonio, Texas, United States. Reuse of existing buildings and approach to modern interior design, an emphasis on recycling-first strategy, from a “street single” container for the use of new and permanent. The interior of the building is insulated with spray foam and then coated with bamboo plywood, the same corresponding to the floor as a wall. To provide shade and air-flow to reduce heat gain, the planted roof is held from the top of the container. On the exterior mounted light from the disk plow tractor-common sight in south Texas. The project defines the result of the orientation of buildings to panoramic landscapes, islands, beaches and forests in front of the sea. The building is situated on a cliff in Matanzas – Chile was designed by Panorama (Hagemann Constanza Valdés Nicolás +) + WMR (Manieu Wedeless + Jorge Felipe + Rabat Macarena). Simple design in some space such as a single space for the living room, dining room and kitchen and the back bedroom and stairs to the second floor. A partially enclosed patio and facing north, on the diagonal volume, space and toilet, allowing the user to be out of extreme wind days. (more…)

Architect Robert Gurney has an efficient house design with minimal footprint and aims to be a site that is more sensitive, environmentally conscious, and provides a comfortable, efficient living space.
Interior space is designed open, fenestration on the ground face block wall, composed of various-sized openings in rectangular and square, arranged to optimize the view to the green space while minimizing views of adjacent houses in the near future, walnut floors provide a rich base for a white wall and millwork.
