Simplicity of Long Island House By Thomas Phifer + Partners
Long Island House a place that’s inspired by the proximity of Long Island to imagine a site for water and simplicity of form. The quality of structures, such as: the attitude of his curved, showing a new direction for Phifer (be sure to see the island of Fisher House, which previously appeared in AD), although the aesthetic is different, the driving design philosophy remains the same.
The existence of smooth beach unembellished structure reflects a desire to defer to the wider landscape, rising gracefully from the sand hills that define the elements of different programs, and free flowing nature that includes landscape. This minimizes the architectural intervention.
